It’s not too late to begin your plans with these simple ideas.
Super Bowl Simple Decor
It’s easy to create a football theme for your tailgate & Super Bowl party. Your local dollar store has napkins, plates, and cups with footballs on them. You can also opt to just use team colors or green (football field) and brown (football).
Party stores, i.e. Party City, will have official NFL licensed products cups, napkins, plates, koozies, and so much more. They also have generic football themed products.
You also go online to Oriental Trading for a wide assortment of paper products, party games, trinkets, etc.
Table decorations can be as simple as using footballs and cover your table with astroturf. Use white tape to mark the turf like a field.
Mason jars can be decorated and used to hold your utensils or as glasses for your beverages. There are lots of cute ideas on Pinterest to create these looks.
Super Bowl Games
It’s always fun to have a few games to add to the Super Bowl tailgate & party experience. Something as simple as everyone prior to kick off predicting the score. Tie breaker can be points scored in the game. For kids, why not make a goal post using painters tape (so it doesn’t ruin your walls). Have blindfolds and football cut outs with painters tape attached to t
he back of each and see who can place the football closest to the middle of the goal posts. You can even have a football word search for pregame or halftime. Prizes can be ring pops awarded just like the players get Super Bowl rings.
Super Bowl Game Day Tasty Food
The success to a fun Super Bowl party & tailgate (or any game day) is, of course, the food! Keep it simple. Host a nacho bar. Provide crock pots of ground beef and cooked chicken. Attendees can bring a topping for the nachos.
Don’t forget the desserts to add some sweetness to your event. Make those simple too. It’s as easy as dipping pretzel rods into chocolate and then using icing in a tube to paint on football thread. How about yummy brownies decorated using chocolate frosting, green sprinkles and add a chocolate covered strawberry with threads painted on them
